MyCiTi Rules are conditions of use applying to all people entering any MyCiTi premises, including buses and stations. MyCiTi passengers are requested to comply with these rules, which have been created to ensure that MyCiTi can deliver a reliable, rapid and safe bus service for everyone, every day.
The full MyCiTi Rules document describes the rules and regulations governing the use of MyCiTi by its passengers. They also form the City’s Terms and Conditions for use of the myconnect card. The myconnect card is issued by ABSA Bank, which has its own set of Terms and Conditions governing the use of the card.
MyCiTi passengers may be prosecuted for any other offence in the law not listed in the MyCiTi rules, under any other statute. In other words, passenger behaviour is regulated by the entire spectrum of South African law, not just the MyCiTi rules!
