Airport - Civic Centre 

Catch the convenient Airport bus between Civic Centre station in Hertzog Boulevard and Cape Town International Airport, right outside the terminal building. The Airport service runs every 20 minutes from 04:20 to 22:00.

The trip takes about the same time, or slightly less, than in a private car, as follows:

Morning peak (direction City): about 20-30 minutes
Afternoon peak (direction Airport): about 45-55 minutes
Other times of the day or in opposite direction to peak hour congestion: about 15-20 minutes (subject to delays).

Civic Centre station to the Airport
04:20 – 21:20
Every 20 minutes
Airport to the Civic Centre station
05:10 – 22:00
Every 20 minutes

Fares

Paper tickets for the Airport service are available at Civic Centre and Airport station kiosks for children and others using concessionary fares. Adults can either use their myconnect card or purchase a paper ticket for this service.

Civic Centre – Airport route (A1)
Civic Centre – Airport route (A1) for children 4-11 years old
Children under 1 metre tall and under 4 years old
Monthly ticket offering unlimited travel on the Airport – Civic Centre route (A1). This option works out cheaper if you travel between the Airport and Civic Centre more than 8 times a month. This ticket cannot be used by anyone else and must have the name of the ticket holder on it. Write your name on the ticket as soon as buy it.
