Otto du Plessis Drive will be closed for through traffic in a northerly direction between Birkenhead and 6th Avenue, Melkbosstrand from Thursday 12 July to Thursday 19 July or until the work is completed.

Closures will only take place during off-peak hours, from 09:00 to 16:00, to minimise disruption.

This road closure is necessary in order to construct the red concrete bus lanes at the MyCiTi station in the vicinity.

Please take note of the following deviations:

• Northbound traffic will be deviated along 6th Avenue, Commaille Road and 11th Avenue.
• Southbound traffic will only be affected during the second phase of construction where it will still travel down Otto du Plessis Drive, however it will be diverted into an alternative lane.

Deviations will be clearly signposted.
Pamphlets detailing the road closures and alternatives will be distributed to businesses and handed out at intersections in the affected area.
