On Sunday afternoon the Metro Police’s Tactical Response Unit and the Drug Busters together with the Kraaifontein South African Police Services carried out a joint operation which resulted in 10 arrests during the execution of 12 search warrants.

The Metro Police acted on information received from the communities of Scottsdene, Wallacedene and Scottsville regarding illegal activities in the area.

The following were confiscated:

• 5 packets of TIK

• 3 cell phones (1 Samsung E250, 1 Nokia 6610, 1 Nokia 1200),

• 3 Lindix Airtime machines

• 16 x packets of cigarettes

• 17 x stoppe dagga,

• 3 x mandrax tablets and 7x half mandrax tablets

• 3 x TIK lollies containing TIK

Deputy Metro Police Chief, Yolanda Faro, said: “The public are our eyes and ears and the Metro Police will act on all information received.”
