Rugby fever hits the new Cape Town Stadium: media accreditation required
MEDIA RELEASE
NO. 54/ 2010
29 JANUARY 2010

With the Cape Town Stadium’s first event behind us, the stage is set for 40 000 spectators – double the number who attended the first soccer match on 23 January 2010 – to watch the clash between the Stormers and the Boland Cavaliers on Saturday 06 February 2010.

As important news media, you are cordially invited to attend the first rugby match to be played in the brand new stadium.

While the first event was generally judged to be a success, lessons have been learnt.

To be part of this historic occasion, please complete the media accreditation application form at http://www.capetown.gov.za/ctsrugby by no later than 14:00 on Monday 01 February 2010.

Successful applicants will receive a confirmation e-mail, along with information about the accreditation process.

PLEASE NOTE: Only media who have been properly accredited will be admitted to the stadium. No late applications will be accepted.

Date: Saturday 06 February

Time: Gates open at 13:30
