On Wednesday 03 February, Executive Mayor Dan Plato started the next phase of his community outreach programme ‘Taking the City to the People’ during which he aims to hear firsthand what residents feel are their most important service delivery needs.
The Mayor has 44 meetings planned for this leg of the programme which will run until 29 April 2010.
The Mayor invites all residents to attend a public meeting in their area. At the meeting residents will be able to highlight major issues that are affecting their community as a whole. For personal concerns, residents are encouraged to utilise the City’s existing political structures such as Councillors, Subcouncils and Ward Forums.
All media are welcome to attend.
