The Executive Mayor of Cape Town will host a cocktail reception on 10 February 2010 to welcome members of National Assembly, the National Council of Provinces and the diplomatic corps to Cape Town for the President’s State of the Nation Address.
This year marks the 20th Anniversary of the release of Nelson Mandela and in recognition of this, President Jacob Zuma will deliver his State of the Nation address on 11 February, the date of his release.
The City’s reception will include a live concert featuring some of South Africa’s top artists.
All media are welcome to attend, but accreditation is essential.
Date: Wednesday, 10 February
Time: 19:00
Venue: Cape Town Stadium, Green Point
Dress: Dark suit/traditional
Parking: Drive to the Green Point traffic circle, turn left into Granger Bay Boulevard. Turn left into Fritz Sonnenberg Road, then right into the stadium parking, Level 01.
Registration table for media will be at Entrance Foyer 01.

Accreditation must be personally collected from Lisle Brown at a desk in the Civic Centre, Concourse Level, in front of Reception (Podium Block) on Tuesday 09 and Wednesday 10 February between 11:00 - 13:00. Media are requested to bring along a copy of their I.D. which will be used for security purposes at the event.
