Executive Mayor, Alderman Dan Plato will host the launch of the new book, ‘A blow to the hoop: The story of my life and time’ by Professor Richard van der Ross.

Premier Helen Zille wrote the foreword to the autobiography in her capacity as Executive Mayor for the City of Cape Town in 2009.

Professor van der Ross became a Freeman of the City of Cape Town on 05 September 1988.
