On Tuesday, 31 January 2012 the City of Cape Town will brief members of the media on the roll out and future plans of the MyCiTi myconnect card payment system.

As of 28 January the myconnect card is the new form of payment for travel on MyCiTi’s services and routes.

Councillor Brett Herron, Mayoral Committee Member for Transport, Roads and Stormwater, will speak to the future benefits of the card system, and on the reasons why this new system was introduced. Representatives from ABSA and ICT Works, the operators of the card, will also be in attendance and will take questions from the media.
