The City of Cape Town, in partnership with Metro District Health Services (MDHS), Provincial Department of Health, will host the annual TB/HIV/STI Award Ceremony to honour Cape Town’s Health Care Providers.

The MEC for Health, Theuns Botha, will speak at the event. Mayoral Committee Member for Health, Councillor Dumisani Ximbi and Chairperson of the City’s Health Portfolio Committee, Councillor James Vos, will present awards.


United Nations Public Service Award
Dr Keith Cloete, Chief Director: MDHS, will officially hand over the United Nations Public Service Award in the category for Improving the Delivery of Services to all the partners involved, including Dr Ivan Bromfield, Executive Director: City Health and the Director of the TB/HIV Care Association. This award was bestowed upon the City of Cape Town in June 2009.
