The City of Cape Town is hosting a workshop today, 18 August, in the Banqueting Hall, 5th Floor, Podium Block, Civic Centre for representatives of Neighbourhood Watches from across the city.
The aim is to improve their efficiency by sharing information and ideas and hearing how successful neighbourhood watches such as the one in Hout Bay operate.
Executive Mayor Helen Zille, Cllr Dumisani Ximbi, Mayoral Committee Member for Safety and Security, senior officials from Metro Police, SAPS and the Provincial Government Department of Safety and Security are also attending.
