In terms of the Local Government: Municipal Finance Act 2003, the City's accounting officer must, by 25 January each year (mid-financial year), assess its performance during the first half of the financial year, and submit an assessment report to the Mayor, the National Treasury and the relevant provincial treasury.In addition, annual reports and quarterly reports need to be compiled. These documents provide feedback to residents and stakeholders on the City's achievements against the objectives set out in the 2009/2010 Integrated Development Plan (IDP).
