Would you like a life-safety educator to visit your school or organisation? CTFRS educators, who are all professional fire-fighters, will gladly give free basic fire safety advice to all sectors of the community to prevent and mitigate against fire and injury.
The educators deal with crèche environments and early learning institutions as well as all school levels, with a stress on interaction to reinforce learning. They prepare programmes that cater for all age groups. Other areas they are involved in is presentations to the aged and their overseers, as well as other institutional facilities.
CTFRS educators have equipment for demonstrating activities to give a real life effect to their message (e.g. how to crawl beneath smoke). It also has a budget that allows them to buy and distribute publications on fire safety.
The education staff work closely with operational staff, especially if an intervention is conducted at a CTFRS fire station. When there are career and community activities, this section is often called to set up stands and participate.
