Cape Town Stadium "perfect" 
100 days to go !
FIFA Secretary-General Jerome Valcke has described the newly-built Cape Town Stadium as "perfect." "It's just an amazing stadium, and all the teams who play in Cape Town, will play in a perfect place." Without wanting to be biased regarding other host cities, he said Cape Town is "one of the most beautiful in the country".

Green Point Common under constructionCape Town citizens to benefit from revamped Green Point Common

Work on the upgrading and reconfiguration of the Green Point Common into the Green Point Urban Park (sports precinct and public park) that will surround the 2010 FIFA World Cup stadium is well underway.

When the project is complete at the end of May 2010, the Common will feature improved public transport infrastructure (Vlei Road, Granger Bay Boulevard and the access link abutting the Virgin Active complex) a sports precinct that will accommodate rugby, soccer.  More...
