World Cup™ qualifying teams

After gruelling qualifying campaigns to make it to the 2010 FIFA World Cup™, the qualification process is complete, and the final 32 teams that will compete for soccer's top trophy have been announced.

The final 32 teams include all seven previous World Cup winners, and 18 of the world's top 21 teams.

South Africa automatically qualifies, being the host country.

The Final Draw, in which the match order of the 32 teams will be announced takes place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre on 4 December  2009.

The participating teams are:

Europe Zone (13 spots)

Netherlands, England, Spain, Germany, Denmark, Serbia, Italy, Switzerland, Slovakia, Greece, Slovenia, Portugal, France

Asia Zone (four spots)

Japan, Australia, South Korea, North Korea

Africa Zone (six spots, including hosts)

South Africa (hosts), Ghana, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Cameroon, Algeria

South America Zone (five spots)

Brazil, Paraguay, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay

North America Zone (three spots)

Mexico, United States, Honduras

Oceania Zone (one spot)

New Zealand
