EduNet has been established as a Youth Environmental School (YES) initiative to provide a 'one-stop-shop' for environmental educators to:
- obtain resources such as posters, leaflets, lesson plans, books and information about environmental issues
- receive invitations to workshops and special outings
- source information about upcoming events, campaigns and competitions
- share information with other educators
- showcase projects, and more
Membership is FREE. To become a member, educators need only to complete the registration form by hand and fax it to 021 487 2255. PLEASE NOTE: Only qualified WCED educators are permitted to apply for membership.
The EduNet web pages that you are reading now have been created for educators to use as a source of information about environmental education (EE). The Educators’ platform page also provides an opportunity for educators to share their thoughts, tips, ideas and challenges on the subject. If you have any letters, e-mails and/or articles that you'd like to share with other educators, this is the place to do it! You can even upload your photos of EE activities/lessons to share with other EduNet members.
Please send your contributions to the YES Co-ordinator by e-mail yes@capetown.gov.za or fax 021 487 2255.
