 City of Cape Town’s Biodiversity Network - C-Plan and MARXAN analysis: 2011 Methods and Results report 2012/02/07
This report serves as a record of the methods and key results from the 2011 re-analysis of the City of Cape Town’s terrestrial Biodiversity Network (BioNet). The conservation planning software that was used to generate this analysis were C-Plan and MARXAN.


 Report on Economically-Viable Mineral Resources in the City of Cape Town's Administrative Area 2012/02/03
This report provides information on the economic, and potentially economic, mineral resource fields in the City of Cape Town’s administrative area. A total of 11 mineral commodities were identified and mapped. The report describes each mineral commodity systematically in terms of the location, extent, economic viability and alternative sources outside the Cape Town metropolitan area.


 Biodiversity Showcase Garden (BSG), Green Point Urban Park, Lesson Plans and Activities for Grades 1 – 7 2012/02/01
A learner resource developed to be used at the Biodiversity Showcase Garden in Green Point. The garden's aim is to showcase the amazing diversity of plants and animals in the greater Cape Town area.


 Biodiversity and Climate Change Assessment Report 2012/01/27
A report on the impacts of climate change on biodiversity in Cape Town, along with current and future resilience measures and initiatives put in place by the City of Cape Town. Global climate change poses a significant threat to biodiversity and the City has a conservation plan (Biodiversity Network), which will ensure that climate change adaptation measures are incorporated as far as is possible.


 A Year of Special Days: 2012 calendar 2012/01/25
A 2011 calendar of special environmental and other significant days and weeks of the year. The supplementary booklet supports educators and community leaders to make links between environmental days in the 2012 calendar and environmental learning in the school curriculum.  City of Cape Town Blue Flag Beaches - Blue Flag beaches are best! 2011/12/19
An informative e-booklet on the eight prestigious Blue Flag beaches within the city of Cape Town for the 2011/2012 season. When deciding where to go, tourists and residents can choose Blue Flag beaches, secure in the knowledge that high standards of beach management are guaranteed and lifeguards will be on duty every day during Blue Flag season: December to March. The beaches that have been awarded Blue Flag status from 1 December 2011 to 31 March 2012 are: Bikini, Camps Bay, Clifton 4th, Llandudno, MnandiMuizenbergSilwerstroomstrand and Strandfontein. The City of Cape Town has the highest number of Blue Flag beaches in South Africa.
