The Major Programmes and Projects Branch has as its primary function the development, co-ordination and implementation of key City projects. Typically these involve high-level partnerships between the City and third party agencies or organisations and integrate a number of line functions within the City. Several of these projects have a reach beyond that of the Environmental Resource Management (ERM) Department at regional, national or international levels, but the specific input from this branch relates to the core business of the department.
