Environmental and heritage resources management 

A portion of the Gugulethu Seven Memorial The Environmental and Heritage Resources Management Branch is responsible for on-the-ground environmental and heritage monitoring, procedures and projects. The branch enforces compliance with environmental, heritage and outdoor advertising legislation and policies (e.g. outdoor advertising control). Tariffs are implemented and fees are collected for development applications, heritage resources and environmental monitoring. The branch also works on local environmental, heritage and outdoor advertising projects.

Heritage organisations are encouraged to complete our contact details questionnaire and e-mail it to heritage@capetown.gov.za so that we can improve our communications with them. (Please note that it is advisable to save the file before e-mailing it.)
