The Energy Forum aims to provide owners and managers of offices, shopping centres, hotels and other commercial and public buildings with practical knowledge of energy efficiency solutions, and will also serve as a platform for collective action and shared learning.
The forum's meetings provide property owners, managing agents and facility managers (as the practitioners doing the work in buildings) with practical information on how to implement energy efficiency (EE) improvements. Commercial consumers use an estimated 16% of electricity in Cape Town, and are a key stakeholder in the City’s current electricity saving campaign. This sector is feeling the impact of tariff increases, making this a timely intervention which is in everyone’s interest in the current economic context.
