On these pages you will find details about health services provided by the City of Cape Town and a list of all primary health care facilities – clinics - community health centres (day hospitals) and midwife obstetric units (MOUs).
The City Health directorate is changing - and we will try to keep you up to date with all these developments.
Our vision is: a healthy city for all!
Our purpose is to maintain and improve the health of all communities in the City of Cape
Town through a District Health System that includes:
- Promotive health services
- Preventive health services
- Appropriate curative health services
- Environmental health services
- Specialised health support services
The City has made HIV/AIDS & TB one of its priorities and we are committed to effectively tackling this pandemic. We are dedicated to equity and a developmental multi-sectoral approach where we work with other sectors to meet the overall health needs of communities – especially the poor.
Enjoy your visit. Please feel free to give us feedback and suggestions to improve this website so that it meets your needs more fully."
