Clinics provide the following services for HIV: -

• Freely available condoms to minimise the spread of HIV.
• Counselling and testing for HIV.
• Treatment of associated (opportunistic) infections and monitoring of clients suffering from HIV infection (non hospital care).
• Prevention of spread of HIV from HIV positive mothers to their babies (Co-ordinated by Provincial Administration of the Western Cape). This is currently being rolled out in Cape Town and all relevant public sector facilities should have this service soon.
