Call for comment on Draft Spatial Development Framework
The City of Cape Town has prepared a draft Cape Town Spatial Development Framework and draft Spatial Development Plans/Environmental Management Frameworks for each of Cape Town’s eight planning districts. The City has also prepared a draft Densification Strategy and a draft Development Edges Policy. These plans and policies will guide the future development of Cape Town.(More)

City earns top publishing accolades
The City of Cape Town earned several awards at the annual SA Publication Forum’s Corporate Publication Competition, held in Midrand on Friday, 28 August. The City’s Corporate Publications Head, Aletta Kruger, was chosen as Editor of the Year out of eight finalists. Three of the publications she manages received a number of awards. (More) |

Comment on the City’s Integrated Transport Plan
The City of Cape Town is inviting public comment on the 2009
revision of its five year Integrated Transport Plan (ITP)
which forms part of its overarching development plan for
Cape Town, the Integrated Development Plan.

Sunset Beach road closures on R27 commence
Vehicles leaving Sunset Beach will not be able to turn right into Otto du Plessis/R27 at the Ocean Way traffic intersection (near to the Engen garage) for two to three weeks, from Monday, 07 September 2009. The City of Cape Town issued a traffic warning about this impending construction during last month, but due to bad weather and construction delays, this work will only commence on Monday morning.
