Athlone Power Station: the future

In May 2010, a series of community meetings was held to gather public opinion about the future of the Athlone Power Station site. These focussed on the three areas that abut the site: Langa, Pinelands and Athlone. In addition, a general public meeting was held to which all interested parties, including special interest groups, were invited.

Venues for public meetings:

• 10 May Pinelands Community Centre, St Stephen’s Road, Pinelands, 19:00 – 21:00
• 11 May General Public Meeting, Mowbray Town Hall 19:00 – 21:00
• 12 May Athlone Community Centre 19:00 – 21:00
• 13 May Langa Civic Hall Hall 19:00 – 21:00
• 27 May Special interest groups: Room B, 5th floor, Podium, Civic Centre from 10:00 - 13:00
