Green Point Stadium Visitor Centre

The Green Point Stadium Visitor Centre is the focal point of the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ experience in the Western Cape, and aims to inspire and inform residents, visitors and soccer lovers about progress in the stadium’s construction, as well as to build enthusiasm about Cape Town being a host city.

Situated in what used to be the presidential suite of the old Green Point Stadium, the Visitor Centre features a viewing platform overlooking the new stadium; soccer-themed photographic exhibitions, the architectural model of the new stadium, a spectacular virtual tour of the new stadium and a theatrical performance, The Greensman - a one man show that is a magical and informative blend of myth, legend and historical fact about the Green Point Common – the stadium’s site.

The Centre hosts daily tours for schools and other visitors; and a special bi-weekly 2010 Lecture Series, with speakers who are integrally involved in preparations for 2010.

The venue – which includes a 133 seat auditorium and a 45 seat boardroom - can also be hired for functions.

The Visitor Centre is a joint initiative by the City of Cape Town and the stadium contractor, Murray & Roberts and WBHO.
