Meeting date: 15 March 2019• Goodman Rorwana reported that a meeting has been set-up with Facilities and Libraries on site to discuss the matter. He said according to the email from Wayne Hoffeldt is that the Cllrs use ward allocation funding to procure sign boards.• Cllr Peck stated that his understanding of reading the email is that the Subcouncil should procure the signboards from their budget and that Facilities would erect the signboards.• The Chairperson suggested that the Subcouncil obtain quotations on the signboards and use the ward allocation funding in the next financial year.• Goodman Rorwana stated that this is what needs to be discussed with the Line Department as to the requirements that is needed.• The Chairperson suggested before they do that they should look at the other Council facilities.• Cllr Peck responded that there are signboards at the Council facilities and this means that people should come from the other areas i.e. Chris Nissen Park or Sir Lowry’s Pass etc. to come and read these notices that are placed at Council facilities. He said that the City should be make it easier for the people to erect signboards in their area informing them of public participation meetings.• The Chairperson responded that this motion should then be directed to the Urban Management and recommend to them that the Subcouncil has a proposal and that they should consider erecting signboards of this nature across the City for people to have easier access in reading these public notices. RESOLVED• That the Subcouncil forward this motion to the Urban Management Directorate for their consideration.• That the item REMAINS on the MRA’s.
