The Mayor’s Listening Campaign invited comments from residents
and other stakeholders about issues facing the city. Comments were received by fax, e-
mail, workshops and telephone. The purpose of the analysis was to identify priority issues
and trends in relation to community needs, as measured and reflected in comments
received via the Listening Campaign. The analysis was intended as part of the public
participation input to inform the IDP.
Needs Assessment Survey - Philippi East Planning Area (August 2002)
To ensure meaningful public input in the Philippi East Planning process, a community
survey was conducted to obtain input about service delivery and development priorities.
The survey was managed for the Spatial Planning Department of the City of Cape Town.
