Invite the Mayor 

The Executive Mayor welcomes invitations to attend events in Cape Town.  

How to invite the Executive Mayor to your event:

  • Invites should reach the Mayor's office at least four weeks prior to your event. You will receive a response within 10 working days of your application
  • Due to a very busy schedule it is not possible for the Mayor to attend every event that she is invited to
  • All invitations must state the date, time, dress code, venue and background information of your event
  • Please indicate what the Mayor is required to do at the event – e.g. keynote address, speech, ribbon-cutting, starting a race, handing over trophies, etc.

Invitations may be submitted by completing our online Mayoral Invitation form, or they can be e-mailed or faxed as follows:
