The Masjidul Ishraaq Madrassa in Lotus River wrote: "Dear Wally On behalf of our grateful committee, parents, teachers and learners, I wish to thank you
for coming out to our mosque to present your programme to our madrassa learners. The
unique way and innovative manner in which you interacted with the learners left a feeling
of warmth in their hearts. Your programme has empowered all of us. We now have the
necessary information and confidence to respond to a crisis situation. Another positive
outcome from your visit was that people from different faiths can interact in a healthy
manner which benefits all of us. May your message of hope go from strength to strength
and may the Almighty reward you for your deed of kindness and concern for the community."
It is with great pleasure that I extend a word of thanks to you for the awareness programme you ran at Siyazingisa Primary School in Gugulethu this morning, on our request as part of the Amy Biehl Foundation’s Holiday Programme. You and the 107 Emergency Educational Team did a great job and the kids walked away more knowledgeable on what to do when there is a fire or emergency. The city owes you and your team a great deal of appreciation for the hard work going into fire-fighting and the kids saw what hard work it can be. Once again thank you very much. I’m attaching a few photos for your record purposes of what you conducted today. Yours sincerely, Faizel Petersen on behalf of The Amy Biehl Foundation.
Thanks to you and your team for your assistance during the holiday program. I do think Wally made an impact, and the children took note judging by their response! Thanks for your co-operation, Desmolene Wildskut on behalf of the Provincial Government of the Western Cape. Thank you for your assistance and contributions towards the two International Children’s Day. You made the day for those kids. May the years ahead give you much joy and pleasure in your work as you have expressed it towards these children. I hope that we could work more together in the future. Regards, J Hercules, SDF: District 5.

We, as the Safe Cities organization, want to say thank you for your vital input with our annual event in Atlantis, on the 1 May 2009, with the theme Atlantis’ Anti-Drug Campaign. We believe that such positive participation will bring change to this evil drug situation. Atlantis can be a better place to live and people can become prosperous again. Thank you so much for assisting us in helping the community of Atlantis without raising any funds out of these kinds of events. Yours in Community Development, D Pieters, Safe Cities.
