If you have a prepayment meter and a credit card, you can buy electricity tokens on the web by registering your details on www.ibuy.co.za (RMT) or by phoning 0861 327 983.

From 1 August 2011, customers who buy electricity from www.ipay.co.za (Itron) and www.paycity.co.za or www.energy.co.za (Syntell) will need to re-register their details here as the City has appointed ibuy (RMT) as its sole electricity Internet vending service provider for prepaid customers.

The new arrangement has been entered into as part of a broader effort to streamline the City’s existing service channels and supplement them with new ones.
